Hi guys! This is my half of the art trade with It's his character, Nisque, who is a total badass!! I'm sorry if I screwed him up in any way!!

So I was originally inspired by the song lyrics above from the song "Philistine" from No More Hero's. That how I began associating Philistine with a reaper.
There are lots of ways to interpret this picture. I first associated a Philistine as just a bully or antagonist in the modern world. So, instead of "singing" it'd be speaking. When people antagonize, the victim is left feeling soulless and degraded, so it's as if the antagonist is reaping their souls. And in a way that's true, because bullies do what they do to feel better about themselves, just like collecting souls to be stronger.
Another way is in the definition of a Philistine. It's someone who antagonizes artistry or culture and is smug about it. Basically these types of people drain artists' motivation and artistic "soul". Again, the person antagonizing feels stronger because of the smugness of the definition just like a reaper.

Soooo yeah. The upside-down cross is not meant to be offensive or degrading to religion. I'd learned that the upside down cross has become a Satanic symbol but was not meant to be so. St. Peter was crucified on an upside-down cross because he felt he was not worthy to be crucified like Jesus.
So, the cross represents the unworthiness or ungodliness of bullying and antagonizing and the skulls represent the victims, or lost souls.
